Investment Approach

Montag & Caldwell Growth Fund

The Fund primarily invests in the common stocks, convertible preferred stocks and convertible bonds of large cap companies. The Fund defines a large cap company as having a market capitalization of $5 billion or more at the time of acquisition. The Fund seeks companies selling at a discount to their intrinsic value, and targets companies which it believes:

  • Have a strong history of earnings growth
  • Are attractively priced, relative to the company’s potential for above average long-term earnings and revenue growth
  • Have strong balance sheets
  • Have a sustainable competitive advantage
  • Are currently, or have the potential to become, industry leaders
  • Have the potential to outperform during market downturns
