Angell, CFA PARTNER AND CO-DIRECTOR OF FIXED INCOME Nancy is a partner and portfolio manager for all of the firm's municipal bond strategies. She was appointed co-director of fixed income in 2001, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our management of fixed income assets, including portfolio management, research, and trading. Nancy is also responsible for relationship management for many high net worth clients and consultants. Nancy is a member of the firm's Management, Investment, and ESG Committees. Nancy began her GW&K career soon after graduating from Duke University and quickly became an integral member of the firm's municipal bond team. She started out doing research for the firm and then assumed responsibility for managing GW&K’s municipal bond trading effort. In 1988 Nancy became a portfolio manager and was eventually appointed leader of the growing municipal bond team. Nancy graduated cum laude with an AB in Economics from Duke University, and received her MBA with high honors in Finance from Boston University. Fox, CFA PARTNER AND CO-DIRECTOR OF FIXED INCOME John joined GW&K as a member of our municipal bond team in 1990 after graduating from college and was promoted to portfolio manager in 1995, a role in which he continues to serve. John was appointed co-director of fixed income in 2001, responsible for overseeing all aspects of our fixed income operations, including portfolio management, research, and trading. Brian T. Moreland, CFA PARTNER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Brian is a partner of the firm and has been a portfolio manager on the municipal bond team since 2008. He has primary responsibility for GW&K’s Municipal Enhanced Yield, 2-8 Year Municipal Bond, and Short-Term Municipal Bond Strategies, and he trades bonds across the credit spectrum from AAA to BBB. Brian is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Brian joined GW&K in 1998 soon after graduating college. He started as an operations specialist and shortly thereafter transitioned to the municipal bond team to support the research and trading efforts for the firm’s growing municipal bond strategies. Through the years he developed expertise in researching municipal credits across the quality spectrum and gained a deep understanding of the vast and complex municipal bond market. Brian received his BS in Finance from Boston College in 1997. South, CFA PRINCIPAL, MUNICIPAL BOND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Kara is a portfolio manager for all of the firm’s municipal bond strategies and is a member of the Investment Committee and ESG Committee. As a seasoned fixed income manager with deep knowledge of the market, including experience managing taxable municipal bonds and ESG strategies, she is able to draw on her extensive research and management expertise in the evaluation of market risks, opportunities, and strategic portfolio positioning. Kara joins GW&K from Income Research + Management (IR+M), where she was a senior portfolio manager and co-director of credit research and a member of the Investment Committee. Prior to IR+M, she was a securities valuation analyst at John Hancock Financial. She began her career at Wachovia Corporation (now Wells Fargo) as an interest rate derivative analyst. Kara earned a BA in Economics and Psychology from Cornell University. She is a CFA® charterholder and is a member of the CFA Institute, the CFA Society Boston, the Boston Municipal Analysts Forum, and the National Federation of Municipal Analysts. Kane, CFA PARTNER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Mary is a partner of the firm and responsible for the implementation and execution of all GW&K taxable fixed income portfolios. She has a long-tenured and successful career in building taxable fixed income portfolios and mutual funds that serve a wide range of clients. Mary is a proven leader and manages all aspects of GW&K’s taxable bond portfolio management, research, and trading. She is a member of the firm's Investment, ESG, and Global Allocation Committees. Prior to joining GW&K, Mary was a managing director and portfolio manager with Fortis Investments where she was responsible for all of the firm's U.S. dollar-denominated taxable bond mutual funds. She began her investment career as a fixed income trader and credit analyst at Gardner and Preston Moss. Miller, CFA PARTNER AND DIRECTOR OF EQUITIES Dan is a partner of the firm and brings over four decades of investment management experience to GW&K. As director of our equity department, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of our equity investment teams including portfolio management, research, and trading. He is a member of the firm’s Management, Investment, and ESG Committees. Dan has worked with various companies in the Boston area as an investment and financial consultant. Prior to joining GW&K, he spent 21 years at Putnam Investments in Boston, where he was chief investment officer for the specialty growth group and oversaw a team of twenty and up to $100 billion in assets under management. He was also a portfolio management team member of several small and mid cap growth funds, the lead manager for the Putnam New Opportunities Fund, and a member of Putnam’s management committee and partners group. He began his career as an analyst at Morgan Stanley. Dan graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with highest honors, and received his MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business. Thibault, CFA PARTNER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Jeff is a partner as well as a portfolio manager and analyst on our domestic small cap team. He manages our small and small/mid cap core strategies, directs our domestic equity research effort, and provides research coverage for the Materials, Energy, Utilities, and Industrials sectors. Jeff is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Jeff joined GW&K in 2004 to work on a nascent small cap core strategy and build out the firm’s research efforts. Since that time, the team has launched several other small/mid products and built a reputation for low turnover, risk controlled portfolio construction, and high quality stock selection. Previously he spent several years at BNY Asset Management. He worked with researchers in the firm’s centralized equity research department before joining its small cap growth team covering several sectors. Earlier, he worked at State Street Bank and Bay Bank. Jeff earned a BS from the University of Vermont and an MBA from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. Joseph C. Craigen, CFA PARTNER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Joe serves as a portfolio manager for GW&K’s Small Cap Growth Strategy and is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. He is also a research analyst focused on our Small Cap Core and Small/Mid Cap Core Strategies. Joe is a seasoned investor with expertise in a number of industries including extensive experience in Information Technology. Prior to joining GW&K in 2008, Joe held research analyst positions at Citizens Funds and Needham & Company, and was a research associate at Tucker Anthony. William Sterling, Ph.D. GLOBAL STRATEGIST | GW&K INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT As global strategist, Bill works closely with GW&K analysts and portfolio managers to provide insights and guidance on the global economy and strategy allocations, with a special emphasis on emerging markets. His work focuses on monitoring relative value opportunities across and within global asset classes and seeks to identify anomalies that create opportunities. Bill is a member of our Investment Committee and heads the firm’s Asset Allocation Committee. Before joining GW&K in 2019, Bill was with Trilogy Global Advisors, a global equities firm which he founded in 1999. Bill served as CIO and CEO, and was the chair of Trilogy’s management committee. Trilogy became part of GW&K in 2019. Prior to Trilogy, he was an executive director and global head of equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management (CSAM). Previously, he was a managing director and head of international equities at BEA Associates before the firm was acquired by CSAM. Bill was also head of economic research in Tokyo and later chief international economist at Merrill Lynch. Bill graduated magna cum laude from Carleton College with distinction in economics. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University. In graduate school he also became a Fulbright Scholar and spent a year as a visiting scholar at Tokyo University, where he became fluent in Japanese. Pablo Salas PARTNER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Pablo is a partner of the firm and is responsible for the management of GW&K’s Emerging Markets Equity Strategy. Pablo has been managing this strategy since its inception in 1997. With over 30 years of experience analyzing emerging market companies through numerous market cycles, Pablo has a valuable perspective and a passion for identifying under-researched and underappreciated businesses that are capable of becoming industry leaders. He is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee. Prior to formally joining GW&K in 2019, Pablo managed the Emerging Markets Equity Strategy at Trilogy Global Advisors, where he was also a partner. Trilogy was formed in 2005, the result of a merger with BPI Global Asset Management, where Pablo was a co-founder. Trilogy became part of GW&K in 2019. Earlier, Pablo was a portfolio manager at STI Capital Management/SunTrust and at Lazard Freres Asset Management. Pablo earned a BS in Business Administration from Indiana University and an MBA from the University of Wisconsin with a major in Finance. He is fluent in Spanish. Thomas Masi, CFA PARTNER AND PORTFOLIO MANAGER Tom is a partner of the firm and is responsible for the management of GW&K’s Emerging Wealth Equity Strategy. With over three decades of experience investing through many market cycles, multiple recessions, elevated and receding oil prices, gulf wars, the technology bubble and implosion, declining inflation, and declining interest rates, Tom has developed a deep appreciation for good businesses and an assessment of what it means to be a best-in-class company. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Tom joined GW&K from Trilogy Global Advisors, where he launched the Emerging Wealth Equity Strategy and served as partner and co-portfolio manager since the strategy’s inception. Trilogy became part of GW&K in 2019. Throughout his investment career, Tom has evaluated and invested in stocks across every sector. Previously, he was a partner at Dominick and Dominick Advisors, a managing director and senior portfolio manager at SG Cowen Asset Management, and a senior vice president and senior portfolio manager at Kidder Peabody Asset Management. Tom credits each and every work experience throughout his life as valuable learning lessons in understanding and identifying successful businesses. Tom earned a BA in economics from Rutgers University and an MBA in finance from the Rutgers Graduate School of Management. Overseeing two of GW&K’s original equity strategies, Aaron applies his rigorous fundamental analysis to seek out high quality businesses across the market cap spectrum to help clients meet their personal goals for income and growth. Aaron started in the industry as an analyst and has had portfolio management responsibilities since 1998. Previously, he was a principal and portfolio manager at Tetrem Capital Management with responsibility for U.S. Value and U.S. Dividend mandates as well as a Canadian Dividend Fund. He also managed flagship portfolios at Morgan Stanley Investment Management and Pioneer Investments. His portfolio management experience has been wide ranging. In addition to his focus on dividend strategies throughout his career, Aaron has managed portfolios across the market cap spectrum, both growth and value disciplines, and some mandates that invested outside of the U.S. Aaron received a BA in Economics from Trinity College. He is a sector generalist primarily covering companies across Europe, Canada, and North America. He is a member of the firm's Investment Committee. Prior to joining GW&K, Karl spent six years as an equity research analyst at GTP LLC and Deutsche Asset Management. There he performed company research across several industries to identify investment ideas for global equity funds. As a senior member of the team he held substantial responsibility for management, research, and client service. Karl began his career in financial services at Morgan Stanley, followed by Merrill Lynch, and held various roles in fixed income sales and trading. Repoff, CFA PRINCIPAL, PORTFOLIO MANAGER Stephen is a principal and a portfolio manager for all of GW&K's taxable fixed income strategies. In this capacity he oversees risk management, portfolio construction and analysis, and taxable bond trading. Stephen also specializes in analyzing and managing GW&K’s preferred stock holdings. Prior to joining GW&K in 2013, Stephen worked for Fidelity Investments as a research analyst covering the E&P, Energy Services, and Midstream sectors for the firm’s high yield mutual funds. At Fidelity, Stephen also worked on the high yield trading desk where he focused on levered loans. Prior to that, he was responsible for overseeing the construction, warehousing, and ongoing compliance of Fidelity’s Collateralized Loan Obligations.
